Dashboard

The Dashboard is your at-a-glance home page for your Azure environment. Twelve modular widgets cover security posture, infrastructure changes, cost trends, policy drift, and savings opportunities. Use the default layout, or build your own custom dashboards picking only the widgets you care about.

What You'll Learn

This documentation covers the dashboard end to end:

  • What the default layout shows and how page-level controls work
  • How to create, edit, reorder, and delete personal custom dashboards
  • What every widget's metric cards mean and where each click navigates
  • Per-widget defaults you can tune (time windows, thresholds, principal filters)
  • Permission requirements and what to expect on a fresh install

Key Capabilities

Twelve Modular Widgets

Security, alerts, infrastructure, policy, cost, anomalies, advisor, orphaned resources, commitments, and access optimization, all on a single page that you do not have to compose.

Click-Through to Detail

Most metric cards, table rows, and chart slices are clickable. Each click lands on the relevant detail page with filters or selections already applied.

Personal Custom Dashboards

Save up to 25 personal layouts per account. Pick widgets, drag to reorder, and tune per-widget defaults like time windows, anomaly thresholds, or principal-type filters.

Permission-Driven Visibility

Widgets you do not have permission for are hidden, not greyed out. A FinOps user sees cost widgets; a security analyst sees Defender and alerts. No empty placeholders cluttering the page.

Feature Integration

The Dashboard is a hub. Every widget click leads to the corresponding feature page with filters pre-applied. Related docs:
